The RV Martin Sheen on B.C. salmon farming industry: This was paradise. Now its a garbage dump.

Video by Sea Shepherd Conservation Society's The RV Martin Sheen shared from St.Mary's Bay Protectors: "The salmon farming industry claims to be "environmentally sustainable". Take a look at the state they've left the West Coast in. What is sustainable about leaving piles of trash on the shores and ocean floor? This abandoned infrastructure is never going to break down. We've already seen hints of this on our Saint Mary's and Bay of Fundy shores - PVC piping from broken cages, crumbling chunks of styrofoam from inside the pipes. What will we see if aquaculture is allowed to expand here? And please keep in mind that this is just the inorganic waste - not the tonnes of excrement, excess feed, and "blood water" from processing."
